Farmfest

Farmfest packs plenty into one weekend. By day, it’s family friendly, full of bizarre activities and people and home to genre-bending bands and artists, while nightfall feature some of the best DJs and producers on the circuit – and one of the best atmospheres.

I’d originally reviewed the festival in 2016 for Crack Magazine, and was approached to help shape the festival story for 2017. I wanted to elevate perceptions and make sure that what was on offer felt enticing and clear. Following research, I made recommendations and introduced a fresh creative platform, based on the concept of play, and a new tone of voice.

The work brought a new energy, influencing everything from design identity to the acts and artists programmed. I wrote new ‘about’ and ‘our story’ pages, a handful of brand statements, all artist copy and the festival programme.

Tickets sold out in record time. Today, my words remain at the heart of the story.

You can read them here.

“Dan gave us a great platform; his work really brought the spirit of Farmfest to life. We even built that year’s artist bookings and visual identity around his ideas.”
